Where the heck is Retreat?
Our retreats for 2010 will be held at:
Bittern Lake Lodge (BLL)
Battle Lake 4H Centre (Near Westerose Alberta 1 hour south of Edmonton).
BLL is a hunting lodge and is magically transformed into a crafters get-a-way for our weekends. BLL is only 45 minutes from Sherwood Park down Hwy 21 on the way to Camrose.
Battle Lake 4H Centre (BL4H) is 113km SW of Edmonton and is only a 1hr 15min drive from Sherwood Park. The Centre is large, roomy and boasts beautiful views, walking trails and friendly wildlife.
You will receive a map and explicit directions to the retreat with your confirmation of events email approximately 1-2weeks before retreat. Guests should note that BLL is a HUNTING lodge, which means that there are a few "stuffed" animals on the walls, etc. more like the taxidermy type!
Battle Lake 4H Centre is a great place to go for a leisurely stroll down by the lake, the fauna and flora are great for photo taking.
