Welcome to Giggles and Girlfriends Retreats...we are here to ensure that you get time away with your friends, family and girlfriends in a crafty atmosphere.  We welcome all types of crafters to retreat, however we specialize in Scrapbooking and Quilting.

What do I do to Register?

  • For registration information, please go to the REGISTRATION Form page. 
    Remember some dates fill VERY quickly, register early to avoid disappointment.  

  • Waitlists for all SOLD OUT retreats are available.  If the retreat is sold out and you would like to be on the waitlist, please email girlfriendsandgiggles@shaw.ca and advise which dates you'd like to be on the waitlist for.|

  • Additional Dates are added as they become available.  Please watch the site for new dates or openings in sold out retreats. 

    PRIVATE GROUP BOOKINGS: We can organize your event for you.   Call us with the number of guests and dates you would like us to inquire about and we'll organize your retreat for you from the beginning stages of organizing right through the event until the cleanup is over.  Take a break and let us do the work for you!

    | Timing is essential
  • Retreats at Battle Lake are held Thursday/Friday 2:00p.m. to Sunday 2:00 p.m.
  • Retreats at Camp He-Ho-Ha will be held from Friday 4:00pm to Sunday 3:30pm
  • Retreats at Star of the North Retreat Centre will be held from Friday 4pm (subject to change see your weekend schedule to confirm) to Sunday 3pm.
  • Select Retreats are available for 4 days and 3 nights.  We run the retreats so that everyone uses their time for themselves.  Stay up as late as you wish, or get up as early or late as you wish.  The weekend is yours to enjoy, and who are we to tell you how to enjoy it!

  • We take a minimum number of retreat guests at Battle Lake and Camp He-Ho-Ha to ensure maximum usage of facilities.

  • Retreat dates do book up quickly, so please contact us as soon as you and your girlfriends have decided to spend some time on you!  Remember that we keep a cancellation waitlist for most retreats due to retreats selling out quickly.

WAITLISTS - What happens?

WAIT LISTS: If a retreat is sold out, we will take your name and party number for our wait list.  Our waitlists are run on the basis of first come, first in to retreat.  If a space becomes available in a sold out retreat, the first person on the waitlist will receive an email notifying them of the open space, they will then have 24 hrs to respond with payment.  If they do not respond with payment, then the next person on the list is notified and so on through the waitlist.  Waitlist participants have priority over transfers of regitrations to ensure fairness on the waitlist.

Who's the Hostess?

  • Rhonda is your hostess at the weekend retreats.  She can answer all your questions and ensure that your weekend is just what you needed.
  • Rhonda has over 16+ years experience scrapbooking.  Over 7 years of Quilting, over 25 years of seamstress and doll making and some minor beading experiences. 
  • Feel free to bring out your passion and share with others.
  • Rhonda works full time and organizes retreats for a part time business, in between raising 4 great kids, a loving husband and numerous volunteer committments.  Rhonda has a huge passion for Charities and often does events to raise dollars for Breast Cancer Research, Make-a-Wish foundation and the Stollery Children's Hospital.   Rhonda is a registered and trained First Aider in case of any emergencies.
